Little Story for My Baby Girl

I have attended the Young Leader Seminar last Sunday, 30Mar. This was my second time actually. I find that having this seminar on region basis is more effective. With a small number of participants, we can concentrate more and we can almost talk about everything heart-to-heart.

I have learnt something really useful and true. As we all know, Ikeda sensei always learn from the others. Once sensei gave guidance to the leader and said, "Leaders should have the willingness to do anything for the sake of the members", quoted from NHR33 Vanguard. As sensei said, willing to do ANYTHING, no matter what condition/situation we are in, members always come first.

Every one of us is unique and has our own personality. Some people have good personality, on the other hand, some people have the bad one. Especially when we are working in group, we can clearly see each other characteristic and personality. There is no win or lose, is just about give in and give out for the sake of the group. To understand and overcome this matter is most important of all.

DDG is our baby and MEMBERS are our precious. How are we going to raise up our baby? Of course, we need to give her love and teach her everything from A-Z. We are very happy and grateful if she is well grown. When she does a good job, we will praise her, but when she is naughty and playful, we will give lecture. We make sure that she is nurtured to be a successor in life, to win against all hardships.

Baby, baby, do you understand how does mummy feel? You are no longer a baby, whose mummy used to feed you milk. You are a child now, and you already know how to walk, to talk. When you fall down, you should know how to stand up yourself, but remember, mummy is always watching you from the side, you are not alone.

My baby members, no matter how hard/how pain is it, please DO YOUR BEST of all. I know YOU CAN do it, I always trust you. As you trust mummy will protect you and love you. We challenge together for our 6.15, okay? Let’s make a promise.

A child’s attitude and how she behaves is like a mirror of her parents. Members’ reaction is a reflection of the group leaders. Good parents will raise up good child. Good leaders will bring up good members. Being a good leader is not easy, same goes to good parents. We will learn to become wonderful parents, we have to. We couldn’t have expectation in our baby if we don’t have expectation in ourselves.

“A hundred or even a thousand people can definitely attain their goal, if they are of one mind.” What we are struggling now is not only for our own/for ddg, also we do it for soka gakkai and most essential is for our mentor, Ikeda sensei.

Again, let’s us challenge together! Hundred men move a step rather than one man moves hundred steps.
